Meeting preparation and actions could include:
- Prior to the meeting if you are unable to attend - giving your apologies to the chair and/or secretary; reading the meeting pack and informing the chair of any views you would like to be shared at the meeting
- Noting apologies for absence and, if relevant, whether the meeting is quorate
- If any trustees have to leave part way through a meeting considering, if relevant, whether the meeting remains quorate
- Ensuring that the minutes include the information required by legislation
- After the meeting, carefully reviewing the draft minutes to check you agree their content
- After the meeting if you were unable to attend - reading the minutes and/or speaking to the chair or secretary to check the status of any urgent or important matters. Ensure you understand any actions delegated to you in your absence, including timescales. Speak to the chair if there are any issues
