Keeping you informed of our upgrade to Clarity from BW
On Tuesday 25 June, we launched Clarity from BW, the new way to access our array of digital services. Clarity from BW replaced BWebstream, bringing in a refreshed identity and improved features and functionality.
Among the wide range of online services that have been brought under Clarity from BW, we have also launched Pension self-service to replace Member self-service, with scheme members benefiting from a new accessible, one-stop platform to manage all their pension arrangements.
We understand change can be confusing, so we’ve answered some of the questions you may have during this period.
Clarity from BW is a transformative initiative that enhances the experience of those who engage with our online services. Launched on Tuesday 25 June, Clarity from BW represents a new approach to our technology, refreshing the look and feel of our software and establishing a cohesive brand identity across all our technology platforms for members and clients.
When you log in, you’ll see the changes but your username and password will remain the same and your information is just as secure and fully protected as it’s always been.
You can access your online services through your account via a new URL – https://account.claritybw.co.uk
Please bookmark this new address as a favourite in your browser, as this will allow you to access the page at the press of a button without having to remember the new URL in full.
If you continue to use the existing BWebstream address, for a period of time you’ll be redirected to the new address.
No. If you previously used BWebsteam to log in, either as a pension scheme member or a client, you will be redirected to the rebranded Clarity from BW homepage – your login details remain the same.
Yes. Clarity from BW offers the same comprehensive level of security measures that BWebstream offered, but with enhanced levels of verification and accessibility to keep you even safer as you navigate our digital platforms. Your personal information and data will continue to be kept secure and fully protected.
If you previously used Barnett Waddingham’s Member self-service to manage your pension, once you log in through Clarity from BW you will be able to access Pension self-service, our new pension management service. Pension self-service has an improved look and feel, but it remains the one-stop location for all the important information you need to manage your retirement. As always, members can access the latest communications, submit documents and dive deep into the various aspects of their pension arrangements.
All clients will access their online services via our new Clarity from BW gateway – https://account.claritybw.co.uk – but the extent of the changes they will see depends on the online services they have access to and will evolve over time, so please bear with us whilst these changes take effect.
Please be assured that the functionality of our services will remain as comprehensive as ever, but you’ll benefit from enhanced levels of security and accessibility as well as an improved look and feel.
We’re really proud of our new digital offering, so whether you’re a client or a scheme member, here’s some more details about the three categories of online services that form Clarity from BW:
Our Clarity Analyse services allow you to analyse data in more meaningful ways, empowering you to spot and understand trends quickly and carry out more accurate modelling. Our experienced consultants use our analytical tools to give the clarity you need to make well-informed decisions.
Primarily used by clients, Clarity Analyse houses services such as our specialist Illuminate tool designed to guide trustees and sponsors through the financial management of their pension scheme, our DC pension self-service analytics tool GEM, and Insight, our online dashboard for defined benefit pension scheme trustees.
Our Clarity Connect services provide convenient yet secure access to everything from pension accounts, wellbeing benefits, employee toolkits, financial education and shopping discounts, allowing you to conveniently manage all of your services, 24/7.
Incorporating services used by both clients and members, Clarity Connect is where you will find Pension self-service, alongside services such as 4me, our digital employee benefits platform. Other services within Clarity Connect include Enlighten, our training platform for Local Government Pension Scheme professionals, and the BW Risk Portal, our resource hub containing a vast range of business risk management tools and content for risk professionals.
Our Clarity Control services are the internal tools used by BW teams to manage workflow, improving efficiency and reliability.
If you are a pension scheme member, please use the dedicated email address you have been provided to ensure your query is dealt with as quickly as possible. Alternatively, please contact us via our online enquiries form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Our normal office hours are 9am to 5:15pm, Monday to Friday.
