Vivienne focuses on all areas of regulated business within Barnett Waddingham.

She is responsible for the design and overseeing the delivery of the annual regulatory plan, driving consistency in approach throughout the process. Vivienne works with the Head of T&C to monitor ongoing competence of regulated advisers.

She ensures that the regulations set by the regulated body are complied with and the firm’s regulatory obligations are met. Assessing the risk inherent in the business, she looks at ways to minimise this risk and looks to harmonise business objectives with compliance and legal obligations, providing support to professional, risk and compliance committee, SIPP board and SSTC.

Clients

Clients are mainly from the regulated areas of the firm, investment consulting, employer consulting and SIPP. Although Vivienne regularly works with SSAS, actuarial consulting and other business areas.

Significant experience

  • Pension transfer specialist.
  • Previously providing bulk annuity advice to both trustees and sponsoring employers.
  • Audit of regulated business.

Career

35 years in financial services including 10 years with Barnett Waddingham as associate, deputy compliance officer.  Previous roles include eight years as client manager at Heath Lambert providing bulk annuity advice to both trustees and sponsoring employers, actively project managing the winding up of DB schemes. She also worked at Jardine Lloyd Thompson as client manager/pension transfer specialist.

Interests

Vivienne is an avid swimmer, swimming 4-5 miles per week. She enjoys worldwide travel and spending time with family and friends.
