Ross advises LGPS Funds on a range of actuarial issues including funding, accounting and bulk transfers.
He has particular expertise in providing accounting disclosures for participating employers in LGPS Funds.
Ross also heads up the public sector IT team and is responsible for the planning development and maintenance of our online valuation and modelling systems, as well as some of our internal tools.
Significant experience:
- advice to LGPS Funds with assets ranging between £500m and £5bn
- producing accounting disclosures for a large number of LGPS employers each year, including complex disclosures where employers have merged, ceased to trade or have risk-sharing agreements implemented
- responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of a number of our online tools.

Ross also sits as the public sector team’s representative on Barnett Waddingham’s Pensions Technical Actuarial Committee, which considers important topical actuarial issues and ideas and produces firm-wide guidance.
