Robert Edwards

Robert is a senior developer working on Penstream, Barnett Waddingham’s in-house pension scheme administration system. He specialises in DB pensions.

Robert has over 10 years of experience as a software developer. During his time at Barnett Waddingham has developed a deep understanding of the technicalities of DB pension calculations, including the provisions for a PPF assessment period.

Robert supports the take-on and day-to-day running of DB pension schemes, assisting the implementation team with complex setups and ensuring that calculations correctly integrate relevant legislation and scheme rules.

Significant experience:

• architected, implemented and maintains the suite of PPF tools, used to automate assessment period tasks.
• advised on the proposals to equalise Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMPs) for schemes in a PPF assessment period
• advised extensively on implementation of complex scheme rules, including hybrid schemes.
