Rebekah provides actuarial and consultancy advice to a wide range of clients, both trustees and employers. She also works directly with independent trustees to guide schemes through the PPF assessment process.
As well as working with ongoing defined benefit schemes, Rebekah is part of our PPF Services team. She provides expert advice and support to distressed schemes transferring to the PPF, including a number of high profile cases such as BHS and UK Coal.
Rebekah advises a range of ongoing defined benefit schemes in different situations facing different challenges. She also works with the PPF and independent trustees to guide schemes through the PPF assessment process. This includes schemes that transfer to the PPF and providing tailored support to those that go on to wind-up outside of the PPF.
Significant experience:
- Providing actuarial support to the 20,000 member BHS Pension Schemes throughout PPF assessment and subsequently in the transaction to secure £800 million buy-out of the BHS2 Scheme that was created as part of the insolvency settlement deal.
- PPF experience also includes a number of schemes where pragmatic and innovative advice was needed to schemes facing complex benefit issues.
- Innovative advice and solutions on executive benefit issues for employers.
- Involved in all aspects of preparing company accounting disclosures, including advice on assumptions, preparation of disclosures and liaison with third parties in relation to disclosure collation.
