Neil Howitt B.Sc., F.I.A

Neil is the primary finance point of contact for the SIPP business area, and in turn operates as an extension of finance within the business area.

A member of the SIPP Management Committee, Neil proactively supports the Business Area Leader with their accountability for profit and loss delivery and commercial management, including leading the negotiation of contracts with key suppliers and institutional partners.

Neil is also currently supporting our Employer Consulting team in a similar way, establishing and implementing a similar framework for financial insight.

Significant experience

Neil is an actuary with a 35-year career in financial services, including 21 years in senior roles at the St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group, and as a founding director of the Nucleus Financial Group.

His experience includes:

• Actuarial, finance, finance director, product development and management accounting roles
• Change leadership, design, management and support including large corporate change programmes
• The management of large corporate supplier relationships including the negotiation and management of the associated commercial arrangements
• Operational responsibility for third party service delivery
• Corporate governance and risk management
