Neil is a scheme actuary and main contact for the trustees of a number of defined benefit pension schemes. He has worked with clients ranging in size from around £10 million to over £1 billion.
He provides clear advice, tailored to his clients’ needs. He is pragmatic and flexible in his approach, and takes great pleasure in helping clients with their ever-changing issues.
Neil advises a number of multi-employer schemes, and also has several clients in the not-for-profit sector.
Significant experience:
- advising trustees on actuarial valuations, actuarial factors and through equalisation, rectification and benefit changes exercises
- producing accounting disclosures for sponsoring employers of pension scheme, including directors’ disclosures
- advising trustees and employers on PPF levy mitigation options, including successful appeals of Experian scores
- guiding a number of clients through benefit changes, including closure

Neil is a member of the firm’s Pensions Actuarial Technical Committee, which provides the tools and training to enable the pensions actuarial teams to tackle new and difficult pensions issues.
