Mike is a Scheme Actuary and provides actuarial and consultancy advice to a diverse portfolio of trustee clients.

He works with pension schemes of all sizes, with his clients ranging from sub £10 million to over £1 billion. Mike advises clients on scheme funding, journey planning, risk transfer options and run-on strategy. He is a member of the firm’s specialist member options group, supporting a range of clients (and consultants) with member options strategy and design.

Mike is also a member of the firm's Pensions Actuarial Technical Committee which carries out research and provides technical support across the firm.

Career

Mike graduated from Durham University with a first class master’s degree in mathematics in 2013. He joined the actuarial team in our Amersham office in the same year and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute Faculty of Actuaries in 2016. Mike worked in our Liverpool office between 2019 and 2024, before returning back to Amersham.

Interests 

Mike has a son who keeps him entertained for most of his time outside of work! Mike is a keen runner and spends most of his remaining spare time training for his next event. He also enjoys hiking and travelling when he gets the opportunity.
