Ian has over 20 years of experience advising a wide range of UK businesses on SSAS and FURBS and is involved in the continuous improvement of the firm’s SSAS and FURBS IT systems, in particular concentrating on developing efficient working practices for the SSAS and FURBS Team.
Ian manages a large FURBS portfolio and often completes projects for new clients, whether that be completing a forensic review of the scheme to give a clean bill of health, fixing any remedial issues and helping an individual close down an existing FURBS by paying member benefits or death benefits or appointing Barnett Waddingham as Professional Trustee to a FURBS. He also provides bespoke advice for SSAS schemes and in particular helps clients utilise existing pension monies to help finance their business.
Ian works with small to mid-sized Limited companies who wish to make pension provision for the directors of the company. The companies that Ian works with are often family-run companies.
