Himanshu provides support to a range of general insurance clients. His main areas of expertise include capital modelling, internal model validation, reserving and risk management.
He has led the second line validation of a number of Lloyd’s syndicates for both LCR and MMC submissions. He also has first line capital modelling experience and has been involved in the parameterisation of actuarial/capital models.
Additionally, Himanshu provides reserving advice to our clients. He has experience in conveying technical messages to senior stakeholders with limited technical background. Himanshu is firm believer of using collaboration to drive results both within and outside of organisations. Prior to joining BW, Himanshu worked for a large UK general insurer.
Among his recent achievements, Himanshu has been involved in streamlining processes, both internally and for our clients, to improve the efficiency as well as the robustness of outputs produced.
Significant experience:
- Led the validation of a number of Lloyd’s syndicates for both LCR and MMC submissions. Managed the resourcing and direction of the team to ensure that deliverable timelines are met while maintaining technical quality.
- First line capital modelling experience, including the parameterisation and first line validation for a number of capital model areas including catastrophe, reserve and premium risk.
- Carried out and peer reviewed the year end reserve reviews (GAAP and SII Technical Provisions) for a number of our clients. Experienced in reserving for both personal and commercial lines.
- Communication of key model inputs and outcomes across internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on providing value-added insights for the business.
