Associate and Pension Administration Operations Manager

Derrie is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients in the Cheltenham Pension Administration ‘business as usual’ (BAU) function.

He works closely with operations managers in other offices and areas to ensure that this exceptional service is always received.

Derrie is also a hiring manager and graduate and apprenticeship representative for this Pension Admin BAU area, which is made of six teams and 53 individuals. In addition, as part of the Pension Admin planning group, he is responsible for developing their strategy.

He manages a large portfolio of clients including defined benefit (DB), defined contribution (DC) and CARE schemes. He has particular expertise in designing and delivering training, as well as implementing best practice and process efficiencies. 


Significant experience:

  • Client lead for a high-profile client with circa 15k membership.
  • Attended many client meetings delivering papers and trustee training.
  • Designed and delivered training nationally to administrators and team leaders on a variety of topics.
  • Organising and delivering away days for our pension administration line managers.
