Brent manages and develops the models, tools and data used by Investment Consulting team and other practice areas. He is a senior investment technical specialist and is Head of BW's IC Systems Development Team.

Brent develops a clear understanding of the requirements of each of our client teams in order to build tools and models that help ensure our people can deliver quality advice to our clients.

Brent's main area of expertise is the technical aspects of investment modelling and people management.

Significant experience:

  • Building and refining DB and DC Investment monitoring tools.
  • Building and refining DB and DC Investment analytic tools, including our Stochastic BWARM model.
  • Data gathering and analysis.
  • Other internal models used extensively by the Investment Consulting service area and other practice areas.

Career

Before starting in financial services, Brent worked in a variety of areas, from a secondary school mathematics teacher to a mechanic at a garage. He started life at BW as a training Actuarial Consultant before moving over to the Investment Consulting practice area. Over time he has moved away from client consulting and now works exclusively with the modelling and systems. Brent was promoted to an Associate in June 2024.

Interests

Brent is a sports fan, especially car racing and rugby. He is still playing rugby into his 40s and often goes to car racing events.
