Career
Nisha joined the Actuarial Insurance Industry in 1995 and moved into Investments in 2000. Having worked in an in-house Investment firm, she got the opportunity to move into LGIM in 2006 (The year in which she qualified as an Actuary.) when the LDI market was just starting to develop. In 2010, she moved to BMO (Previously known as F&C) where she was involved in new business LDI Pitches and Training, Structuring the hedge portfolios, Liasing with Investment consultants to provide optimal LDI solutions for clients and many other internal projects to improve and enhance the LDI capabilities. Having worked with asset managers, she managed to then progress to work in PensionsFirst (Now RiskFirst) whereby she broadened her Pensions risk knowledge including how liabilities are valued, funding level projections, Stochastic runs to show Value at Risk calculations for Pension Schemes and much more.
Her last role prior to joining Barnett Waddingham was at UBS Delta where she was responsible for managing client queries on the risk software (UBS Delta) that had a large LDI section and hence she mainly got involved in modelling LDI Liabilities and producing optimised solutions for the clients using UBS Delta. Nisha worked there almost two years before she took a career break to be a full time Mum in June 2017.
