The session brought together Barnett Waddingham’s latest research on UK DB pension schemes with Ernst and Young’s forecasts and insights into the current economic environment on schemes and their sponsors. 

Barnett Waddingham reviewed the impact on DB schemes funding levels and the resulting implications for their endgame strategy. Whilst Ernst and Young will consider profit warnings analysis, their latest item club economic forecasts and Parthenon’s sector insights. Combining to give a complete picture of what is happening to UK DB pension schemes and their sponsors, and how it might evolve, sector by sector, focusing on the resulting implications for their endgame strategy.
