Remembering Mark Stocker

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of a good friend and colleague, Mark Stocker.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Mark for many years and always saw him as one of the very best consulting actuaries in the industry, most recently as one of only a handful of UK actuaries providing expert witness services.

I know that Mark’s clients, colleagues and friends over his 35+ years in the pensions industry will be very sad to hear the news of his passing. He was very highly thought of with many long-term, as well as more recent, friends in the industry, working at a number of the leading consultancies and serving on many industry committees including the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries as well as the International Actuarial Association.

More importantly, Mark was a kind, thoughtful and hard-working individual and I will greatly miss his support and friendship. My thoughts are with Mark’s wife, Michaela, his family and friends at this difficult time.
