Barnett Waddingham secures double win at the Pensions Age Awards 2020
Celebrations were in full swing last night as Barnett Waddingham collected two prizes at the Pensions Age Awards, securing Pensions Consultancy of the Year and Personality of the Year for Partner, Damian Stancombe.
The event aims to acknowledge both pension schemes and pension providers across the UK that have proved themselves particularly worthy of recognition through their achievements and contributions to the industry.
Amid tough competition, the Pensions Consultancy of the Year honour was awarded for the outstanding quality across our range of pensions services, including those in actuarial, administration and management.
"We are thrilled that our exceptional team’s commitment to giving high quality, bespoke advice has been recognised by the industry," said Paul Jayson, Partner at Barnett Waddingham. "Our fantastic culture really does flow through to the benefit of our clients."
"Even though Barnett Waddingham is involved in some exciting new areas, we keep pension consultancy at the heart of our business."
"Constant innovation and our free thinking culture ensures we work with our clients to meet their specific needs, rather than give them formulaic solutions. We are very proud this has been recognised.”
Meanwhile, Damian Stancombe, was acknowledged for a career of consistent success that has seen him lead an award-winning DC pensions team at Barnett Waddingham and launch a number of platforms that support employee wellbeing and engagement.
"It’s a real honour to have won Personality of the Year," said Damian. "I’ve worked in this industry for nearly 30 years, always driven by a desire to do what’s right for employees. It’s about helping people to plan for financial security in later life. So I’m constantly looking at ways to make a positive difference – that’s something I really thrive on and look forward to continue doing for many years to come."
The Pensions Age Awards announcement comes just days after Barnett Waddingham was ranked among the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2020.
