New technology leaders will support innovation and growth

Barnett Waddingham is proud to announce two significant leadership appointments within our technology team: Amardeep Sitara as Head of IT, and Adrian Sevitz as Head of Future Technology.

The appointments of Amardeep Sitara as Head of IT and Adrian Sevitz as Head of Future Technology reflect a core tenet of BW’s growth strategy; technology and innovation as critical elements of diversification. Over the past 12 months, the business has seen its fastest growth in our 35 year history, and now has four new managing partners to spearhead our ambitious plans for the future.

Amardeep, who has been with BW since 2000, initially joined as a junior engineer when the firm employed just 125 people. His dedication and expertise have led to several promotions, culminating in his partnership in 2020. Now, as Head of IT, Amardeep will leverage his operational efficiency expertise to drive continuous development and innovation within the firm.

Adrian, a new addition to BW, steps into the newly created role of Principal and Head of Future Technology. Adrian's career reflects a forward-thinking approach to technology. Beginning his career at Accenture, he moved to eBay before founding his own SaaS scalable video platform, vzaar, where he served as both CTO and CEO. Following vzaar’s acquisition by Dacast, Adrian became Product Director for Technology, Infrastructure, and Data at Smart Pension, overseeing significant product and transformation projects. At BW, Adrian will ensure the firm capitalises on technology to drive growth, innovation, and sustained success.

Working alongside Sam Meldrum, Managing Partner for Strategic Business Solutions, Amardeep and Adrian will develop specialised technology-driven platforms and services to enhance BW’s consultancy offerings.

Sam said: “We’re at a critical juncture for our technology proposition. As well as investing heavily in product and service development, we are investing in our team. Amardeep  is a prime example of BW’s commitment to developing our own talent; having joined as a junior IT engineer in 2000. Between  Amardeep and I we have seen the firm go from strength to strength, using technology intelligently to support the success of our teams across pensions, risk, investment, insurance, and employer benefit consulting. 

"Now, Adrian joins the team to bring his impressive experience and fresh perspective to aid our ambitious growth plans. Taking the core building blocks of our work to date, Adrian is empowered to push us in an even more innovative and transformative direction to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry. Our foundations are watertight - we’re in the perfect position to embrace creativity and bring new ideas to our clients.”

Amardeep shared his excitement, saying: “It has been a privilege to watch BW grow and expand, from just 125 people and four offices when I joined, to its 1750-strong team and nine offices now. This has brought with it significant operational challenges and opportunities, and I have seen the company innovate and adapt day in, day out, in order to manage that growth while retaining its culture. In technology, the rate of change shows no sign of slowing, and I am excited to embrace that evolution with Adrian and my team at my side.”
