Creating a talent pipeline with Girls Are Investors (GAIN)

We are proud to announce our partnership with GAIN (Girls Are Investors), a charity set up by investment professionals to improve gender diversity in investment management by creating opportunities for female and non-binary young people to enter the investment industry.

Our sponsorship grants us access to the talent pool of participants in the GAIN programme who are eager to explore and embark on careers in investment. Those taking part in the programme benefit from direct access to mentorship provided by GAIN, including coaching on how to make a positive start in a professional environment.
 

As part of our new partnership, last month, we welcomed 22 people from universities across the UK into our London office. The event provided an insight into the world of Investment Consulting, hosted by Senior Investment Consultant Reena Tanna. The event featured: 

• a Q&A;
• an informative Interview Skills session;
• an interactive session looking at an investment case study; 
• a tour of the office; and
• a networking lunch with experts from across BW.

We receive positive feedback from the participants throughout the day, highlighting the valuable insight and understanding being received.

For our industry to continue to grow, it needs not only new talent to be nurtured but also that talent to represent our diverse and inclusive culture. Working with organisations like GAIN is vital to ensuring opportunities are available for all and that new ideas and perspectives are being brought to the forefront.
