Cheltenham office celebrates 20 year anniversary
2016 marks a significant anniversary for our Cheltenham office, as they celebrate 20 successful years of providing high quality actuarial and consultancy services to a broad business community.
"At the very heart of the firm’s success are our dedicated staff members"
The office first opened, at the Quadrangle next to the Town Hall, back in January 1996 to accommodate the newly won business with Eagle Star and the 19 new members of staff duly moved in from Eagle Star to Barnett Waddingham.
Such was the success of this new office of Barnett Waddingham that the original office space was rapidly outgrown, and in only a few years the team found themselves moving to much larger offices in St James House – where they are still located today.
From a small staff of 19 in 1996 – including Nuala Hedges (then Byrne), Ian Ferguson and Mark Howard – the office grew very successfully so that by 2006 the team had expanded to 70 (including six partners and five associates). And while this is impressive in itself, the current headcount in Cheltenham now numbers 173 - making it the largest of all Barnett Waddingham’s offices.
Commenting on the anniversary of the Cheltenham office Nick Salter, Senior Partner says:
“At the very heart of the firm’s success are our dedicated staff members. I am delighted so many of those who opened the Cheltenham office are still with us today and would like to thank them for their contribution to the success of the business. I believe the professionalism and commitment by everyone in our Cheltenham office has been a significant influence on maintaining our reputation as a quality provider working hard to meet the needs of our clients in an ever changing pensions environment.”
