Barnett Waddingham opens new office in Birmingham
Following significant growth we have opened a new office in Birmingham today, based in Longbridge. The office will initially be home to over 150 employees at full capacity, with the potential to increase to 250 over time. Whilst we have had a strong presence in the midlands for more than a decade, the move has been prioritised due to continued growth in the region.
The new location will allow us to provide our people with flexible working spaces, superb facilities and improved connectivity for employees and clients through excellent transport links. Positioned on the edge of the town centre and at the heart of local amenities, our 21,000 sq ft office space also benefits from attractive landscaping and public spaces.
"We hope this new location will allow us to provide a fantastic working environment for our employees, attract the very best from the Birmingham talent pool and be more accessible and connected for our clients"
Paul Hubbold, Partner and Birmingham office lead at Barnett Waddingham, said: “The Midlands has been a region of particular growth for us and finding the right location to continue our journey has been a priority over the last few years. Having outgrown our Bromsgrove office, we hope this new location will allow us to provide a fantastic working environment for our employees, attract the very best from the Birmingham talent pool and be more accessible and connected for our clients.
Whilst a number of our people will be moving in immediately, we look forward to welcoming the rest of the team and our clients as soon as it is safe for us to do so.”
David Stoddard, Chief Operating Officer at Barnett Waddingham, said: “In spite of the pandemic and the terrible consequences it has caused, Barnett Waddingham remains ambitious and is continuing to focus on delivering quality services for our clients. We anticipate further sustainable growth in the future and this, together with our current resilience, has enabled us to continue to invest in all areas of our business.”
“As part of any investment as a business we strive to always do the right thing and this includes our ethos on sustainability. It is great to see the building’s design, specification and location have all contributed to achieving the technical rating for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) of ‘very good’. The installation of dedicated electric vehicle charging points, the proximity to public amenities such as Longbridge train station, solar panels and building insulation have all been key factors to achieving this status. The new site is also our most efficient building in terms of floor space utilisation, natural daylight and fresh air delivery, all aspects we have been working hard on over the last two years.”
