Barnett Waddingham becomes first investment consultancy influencer to support Pensions for Purpose
Barnett Waddingham, the UK’s largest independent provider of actuarial, administration and consultancy services, has partnered with impact investment and ESG initiative Pensions for Purpose.
Pensions for Purpose is a collaborative initiative comprised of investment managers, pension funds and social enterprises. The platform promotes and shares knowledge on impact investment-related issues.
"Pensions for Purpose's desire to promote further understanding is aligned with our key values in supporting sustainability."
Alex Pocock, Partner and Head of Investment Consulting at Barnett Waddingham, said; “Sustainability has lots of definitions but for us it is about focusing on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
“ESG is a hot topic at present. Regulatory requirements from DWP and TPR means trustees now have to consider how ESG affects the investment strategy for their members. Pensions for Purpose is a unique platform, which provides information to those who share a common interest in impact investment. Their desire to promote further understanding is aligned with our key values in supporting sustainability more generally.”
Karen Shackleton, Director at Pensions for Purpose, said; “As the first investment consultant to sign-up as an influencer, Barnett Waddingham is supporting a community of like-minded businesses who share a strong sense of responsibility towards sustainable investment. The organisation’s guidance will play an active role in further enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of our enterprise network when it comes to building a better future for us all.”
