We want to build diverse teams that have the full mix of talents to deliver quality software from idea to roll-out. Whether applying for a graduate software developer position or for a more senior role, we are looking for those that share our values, love problem-solving and coding, and have a desire to improve and develop themselves.

We are mainly full-stack generalists. However, as our teams grow we have opportunities for those with more specialised software development experience, including front-end web design, web security, RESTful web API design, and loosely-coupled system architectures.

Our trailblazing software

We have a long history of developing specialist apps and services for the benefit of our clients.

From Illuminate, which enhances our consultancy services, to our BWebstream suite of online services at the core of our Pension Administration offering, our software is designed to make finance simple. Building on these successes, we have launched our highly-praised 4me benefits platform that engages and educates employees across a range of organisations, including the FA.

We also support the efficient running of the business through the development of apps for managing our work, people and business processes.

Our stack

If you are just getting started with a tool or language, your learning will be encouraged and supported within your team. We typically code on the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio, using Azure DevOps services to manage our code, tests, builds and releases. We are now on a DevOps journey with automated build and release pipelines built for many of our apps, typically deploying to our on-premise servers and preparing for a future in the cloud.

A typical web application stack is SQL Server, ASP.NET and Angular, with front-end code written in typescript and back-end code written in C#. We will always aim to apply the most appropriate technology to solve a problem and our hackathons are an ideal opportunity to explore new options.

Our software developer roles

You’ll join a small software development team, working in close partnership with a dedicated area of our business, where you will be empowered to make a difference for our clients and staff.
