Level: 3 Duration: 18 months
Our Workplace Pensions apprenticeship is well structured, with the support of independent skills coaches, mentors and line managers along with day-to-day coaching and support from your BW team, to ensure you succeed in your role.
You will be part of the Barnett Waddingham early careers network of over 50 apprentices, interns and graduates and you will receive ongoing support and the opportunity to develop your skills.
- Maintain the member database
- Prepare computer generated benefit calculations and related correspondence
- Deal with member and client enquiries via telephone, e-mail, and post
- Liaise with bank and investment managers as appropriate
- Process client pensioner payrolls
- Read and understand documentation relating to each scheme, for example scheme rules and benefit specifications
- Prepare manual calculations to develop an understanding of pensions
- Assist with project-based work from time to time
- Printing, filing, photocopying, and scanning
As well as achieving your Level 3 Workplace Pensions apprenticeship, you will be supported to study professional qualifications to help you build the foundations for a successful career in financial services and pensions.
- GCSE grade 5 / C or above
- Scottish Intermediate 2 certificates grade A to C
- Scottish Standard Grades (credit Level) grade 1 to 2
- Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C
