The purpose of the Business Change team is to successfully deliver large, complex, or business critical internal projects in partnership with the business and in line with our firmwide strategy and culture.

Continuous improvement

The team supports all BW projects, project managers and business analysts by providing high quality project delivery standards, guidance and training. The Business Change team is focussed on embracing a culture of continuous improvement across the firm, developing Lean methodologies, and enhancing skills across BW via our internal certification programme.

Experienced project managers deliver large, complex projects, initiate and lead project teams made up of resources from across the business, existing Agile development teams and any external suppliers. 

Our Project Managers promote best practice project delivery across the business. Depending on the level of experience, typical activities might include:

  • Leading the delivery of larger, more complex initiatives and multi-year transformational initiatives
  • Supporting the delivery of smaller business area initiatives
  • Identifying, managing and resolving project risks
  • Managing large project budgets
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Building capability and sustainable project and change management expertise

 
Recruitment opportunities are normally at experienced and project manager level.

Qualifications supported

Any relevant project management / business change qualifications including PRINCE2, Lean and Agile qualifications.

Our experienced business analysts are assigned to projects across a wide range of internal departments to establish the needs of the business and our clients and work closely with relevant project teams to design, develop and implement quality solutions. 

  • Depending on the level of experience, typical activities might include:
  • Evaluation of large scale requirements and business processes and identification of viable solutions
  • Preparation of business case with impact assessment and cost/benefit analysis
  • Obtain and clearly document business and system requirements
  • Running workshops in support of the business analysis process
  • Provide direction and support to our software teams throughout system development phases

Qualifications supported

Any relevant project management / business change qualifications including PRINCE2, Lean and Agile qualifications.

We have a number of experienced project and change managers across the business who are embedded into specific departments and provide niche project management. They are subject matter experts in delivering and managing specialist projects, for example within HR, Self-Invested Personal Pensions, Employer Consulting and Pension Administration. 

Opportunities in these project management roles tend to be at the experienced level where individuals have gained broader expertise in that sector, for example, HR or personal pensions before specialising in project management.

Project management qualifications along with relevant specialist professional certifications and membership, such as CIPD, Pensions Management Institute.
